Common washer repair enquiries

  • Washer will not drain
  • Drum will not spin
  • Leaking around the door
  • Shaking or stopping mid-cycle

When a washer will not drain or spin

Record which part of the cycle stops, whether water remains in the drum and the exact displayed code. A locked door can be part of normal protection while water is present; do not force it. Drainage, load balance, door locking and motor control are different systems, and the same symptom can have more than one cause.

Leaks and vibration need a location and a pattern

Explain whether water appears during filling, washing, draining or while the washer is off. For shaking, describe the load and whether the appliance moves on the floor. Let the provider know about a recent move, new flooring or installation work. A support problem and an internal mechanical fault require different assessments.

Front-load and top-load washer repair

Send the model number and note whether the washer is stacked, in a closet or under a counter. Ask about access, safe handling of retained water and any diagnostic charge. Confirm the repair scope, parts availability and testing in writing. Avoid removing panels, bypassing a lid switch or repeatedly restarting a machine that is leaking.

What to confirm before the visit

Ask who will attend, whether the provider supports the exact model and what the diagnostic charge includes. Confirm parts, labor, access work, any fee credit and warranty terms in the written proposal. An appointment does not guarantee a stocked part or a same-day completed repair. Keep the model information and agreed scope available for the visit.

Local appliance repair enquiries

Start with New Braunfels, San Antonio, San Marcos, Seguin or the full service-area directory. Confirm coverage for your address.

For a gas odor, leave the area and contact the gas utility or emergency services from safety. Stop using equipment that smokes, sparks, overheats or leaks near electrical parts. Do not open electrical or refrigerant systems, bypass safety devices or force locked components.
